Donald J. Wheeler: The Six Sigma Practioners's - Guide to Data Analysis; (2005)

This book provides a very simple introduction to typical methods of data analysis and statistics usually applied in SixSigma projects. It is pleasantly readable and contains many valuable tips and hints. This is not a book for readers mainly interested in mathematical backgrounds.

Pyzdek, Thomas; The Six Sigma Handbook - A Complete Guide for Green Belts, Black Belts and Managers at All Levels; Revised and Expanded Edition (2008)

Pyzdek provides the most comprehensive SixSigma reference. This book covers all statistical and quality improvement tools usually applied in SixSigma projects. It is indispensable for greenbelts and blackbelts as well as for professionals starting to deal with SixSigma tools.

George, Michael L.; Rowlands, David; Price, Mark; Maxey, John: The Lean Six Sigma Pocket Toolbook: A Quick Reference Guide to 100 Tools for Improving Quality and Speed, (2004)

George et al. cover Lean and SixSigma tools and concepts. Especially they show how to determine the right tool within the SixSigma family for different purposes.
To sum it up: This book offers a quick, easy reference on using the DMAIC improvement cycle.
