Books for Design of Experiments (DoE)
There are many publications on this subject. Most certainly, the following three are generally recommended. Of course, there is more in our shop.
Box, George EP, Hunter, J. Stuart; Hunter, William G: Statistics for Experimenters: Design, Innovation, and Discovery, 2 ed (2005)
The authors present a comprehensive introduction to experimental design, and also show the fundamental statistical concepts. Based on practical examples, the necessary statistical methods for design and data analysis are explained.
Goupy, Jacques; Creighton, Lee: Introduction to DoE with JMP Examples, 3 ed (2007)
The methods of statistical experimental design are introduced in an understandable way. The authors use numerous illustrations and emphasize practical aspects of experimental design. The book is particularly suited to using the software JMP in the preparation and data analysis of experimental designs.
Montgomery, Douglas C.; Design and Analysis of Experiments, 7. ed (2009)
The seventh edition of this excellent book continues to help readers to understand concepts of DoE, to design and analyse experiments with respect to quality improvent of processes and systems. The new edition includes additional examples and exercises and presents some new material for optimal and robust designs. Practical examples are carried out using DesignExpert and JMP.
